Dr. Dianna Ravenell is a native of Selma, AL. She attended Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, AL and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Biology.
Dr. Ravenell obtained her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. She completed her OBGYN residency training at Hutzel Hospital/ Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, MI. During her tenure there she served as chief resident and was very active in the community. Also, during that time, she met Dr. Orson Ravenell and they have been married for 17 years.
Drs. Orson and Dianna settled here in Columbia in 2005 where they have been raising a family and serving the community. Dr. Dianna Ravenell enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, sunrises on the beach and spending time relaxing with friends and family. Dr. Ravenell is involved in several community organizations that support women and children in all stages of life including the Power in Changing Diaper Bank and In the Middle breast cancer support organization.
Dr. Dianna Ravenell is proficient is general obstetrics and gynecology and has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery, medical management of fibroids, high risk pregnancies, and making an impact on the maternal mortality rate.
