Ob/Gyn opportunity in Columbia, SC!

Kraemer Women’s Care, a private practice located in Columbia, South Carolina, is looking for a board certified or board eligible physician to join their growing practice. Currently consisting of 6 full-scope Ob/Gyn physicians and 6 nurse practitioners, our practice is looking to improve patient access and care, while at the same time finding work-life balance for our team. We are in the process of hiring both in office and Hospitalist physicians as we move towards a model that best accommodates the complex schedules of an Ob/Gyn.

Practice Highlights

·         3.5 office days per week

·         Each physician has their own RN and medical assistant

o   Your RN will scribe, chaperone, order all indicated tests, send referrals and tasks for surgery/inductions, and assist with your inbox

·         Epic EMR

·         Physician office inbox managed by an assigned nurse practitioner… no more grueling hours of reviewing results and patient messages—we have a team for this!

 

·         1 hospital day per week for scheduled Gyn cases and OB inductions

·         Night and weekend call will be handled by our Ob/Gyn Hospitalist team

o   Our physicians will serve as back up for this team, and will also have the option to sign up for 12-24hr shifts at a competitive hourly rate

 

·         Our affiliated hospital is Prisma Health Baptist

o   15 labor and delivery birthing suites, 5 triage rooms, 5 observation rooms

o   6 antenatal high risk rooms

o   40 postpartum and gyn rooms

o   3 OR suites located on Labor and Delivery

o   DaVinci Robot available in the main operating room, training and certification is also available through our team

The Clinic Office Manager is responsible for directing, supervising and coordinating staff and office activities on a day to day basis to provide quality, cost effective patient care in a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provides leadership, support and training for clinical and administrative staff to ensure the office operates in an efficient and productive manner.

2. Conducts daily staff huddles to share important information.

3. Generates and oversees employee schedules, vacations and callouts. Receives calls and addresses employee call-outs. Adjusts schedule accordingly and notifies other managers and/or providers as necessary.

4. Monitors provider schedules and resolves any issues related to low patient volumes, scheduling conflicts, etc. Reviews sonographer schedules and resolves issues with Sonography Manager.

5. Manages medical record request/subpoena process per HIPAA policy guidelines.

6. Completes bi-weekly payroll for employees.

7. Handles patient concerns, disputes or complaints. Dismisses patients from the practice when necessary.

8. Orders and maintains appropriate inventory of office and clinical supplies. Proactively manages IUD inventory.

9. Makes bank deposits daily or as needed.

10. Manages front desk for smooth operational flow that is patient friendly. Ensures patient info is entered correctly into EMR, prior authorizations completed, OB Contract Process followed, Collection of co-pays, etc.

11. Maintains various management spreadsheets.

12. Provides support for staff when questions or conflicts arise.

13. Trains, coaches and disciplines employees as needed.

14. Coordinates luncheons or other recognition events.

15. Maintains office cleanliness and ensures work areas are clutter free.

16. Coordinates office maintenance and/or cleaning such as upholstery, carpets, lights, plumbing and/or other issues.

17. Coordinates purchase and/or repair of telephones, computers and printers.

18. Maintains good working relationship with other managers/departments (Call Center, Back Office, Billing, Ultrasound, etc.). May be required to staff and/or cover at other offices from time to time.

Prefer RN/LPN with previous OB/GYN office experience. Supervisory or management experience required. Must be competent with Word, Excel & Outlook. Experience with EPIC strongly preferred.

As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for the accurate completion of all billing functions, including billing insurance and processing payments to clients. The ideal candidate will have excellent data entry and multi-tasking skills, as well as outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities to navigate through multiple billing systems while utilizing process guides.

Duties include:

Resolving failed claims and denials.
Interpreting Explanation of Benefits, EOBs, for various types of insurance.
Updating patient demographics, insurance, and billing information in database/billing system.
Identifying, researching and processing refunds and overpayments.
Investigating and resolving unbilled and no response claims to ensure timely claim submission.
Resolving telephone calls and written correspondence from patients and insurance companies.

Hours: Monday – Friday

 

Nurse with experience in L&D or in an OB/GYN practice to work with a busy provider.  The RN/LPN is responsible for administrative and clinical tasks such as maintaining patient records, preparing patients and rooms for examination, aiding physicians with exams, procedures and other duties as assigned by the Office Manager and/or Physician.  Additional duties:

·         Ensures all patient information is documented in the EMR (Epic) Accurately and timely to include diagnosis and procedures codes.

·         Provides clear communication to patients on STI, Pap Education, Carrier Screening, etc.

·         Assists provider with exam, treatment and orders as directed.

·         Collects and processes specimens in a timely manner.

·         Ensures all messages are reviewed and responded to daily.

·         Ensures all lab inboxes are completed daily.

·         Complies with all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

·         Other Duties as Assigned.

Must be licensed in the State of SC as an RN or LPN.  Previous experience in L&D or in an OB/GYN practice is highly preferred.  Experience with EPIC also preferred.

Hours:  8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday – Thursday and 8:15 a.m. to 12:00 noon Friday
