Ob/Gyn opportunity in Columbia, SC!
Kraemer Women’s Care, a private practice located in Columbia, South Carolina, is looking for a board certified or board eligible physician to join their growing practice. Currently consisting of 6 full-scope Ob/Gyn physicians and 6 nurse practitioners, our practice is looking to improve patient access and care, while at the same time finding work-life balance for our team. We are in the process of hiring both in office and Hospitalist physicians as we move towards a model that best accommodates the complex schedules of an Ob/Gyn. Practice Highlights
- · 3.5 office days per week
- · Each physician has their own RN and medical assistant
- Epic EMR
- · 1 hospital day per week for scheduled Gyn cases and OB inductions
- · Night and weekend call will be handled by our Ob/Gyn Hospitalist team
o Our physicians will serve as back up for this team, and will also have the option to sign up for 12-24hr shifts at a competitive hourly rate
· Our affiliated hospital is Prisma Health Baptist
o 15 labor and delivery birthing suites, 5 triage rooms, 5 observation rooms
o 6 antenatal high risk rooms
o 40 postpartum and gyn rooms
o 3 OR suites located on Labor and Delivery
o DaVinci Robot available in the main operating room, training and certification is also available through our team

Kraemer Women’s Care is currently seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to add to our team. Under supervision of the Office Manager and Provider, the Medical Assistant is responsible for clinical and administrative tasks such as taking vitals, preparing patients and rooms for examination, aiding physicians with exams and other duties as assigned by the Office Manager and/or Provider.
Education: High School Diploma required.
Experience: Previous medical assistant experience is required. Strongly prefer OB/GYN clinic experience. Experience in EPIC is also preferred.
Certification: Certified Medical Assistant
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides a warm welcome and fond farewell to each patient
- Prepares patients for examination, take vitals, and record patient’s health history
- Prepares equipment and examination rooms and clean rooms
- Collects and process specimens in a timely manner
- Assists provider with exam, treatment, and orders as directed
- Ensures all patient information is documented in the EMR accurately and timely
- Prepares all documents needed for DHEC and any other regulatory agency
- Complies with all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Other duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Nurse with experience in L&D or in an OB/GYN practice to work with a busy provider. The RN/LPN is responsible for administrative and clinical tasks such as maintaining patient records, preparing patients and rooms for examination, aiding physicians with exams, procedures and other duties as assigned by the Office Manager and/or Physician. Additional duties:
· Ensures all patient information is documented in the EMR (Epic) Accurately and timely to include diagnosis and procedures codes.
· Provides clear communication to patients on STI, Pap Education, Carrier Screening, etc.
· Assists provider with exam, treatment and orders as directed.
· Collects and processes specimens in a timely manner.
· Ensures all messages are reviewed and responded to daily.
· Ensures all lab inboxes are completed daily.
· Complies with all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
· Other Duties as Assigned.
Must be licensed in the State of SC as an RN or LPN. Previous experience in L&D or in an OB/GYN practice is highly preferred. Experience with EPIC also preferred.
Hours: 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday – Thursday and 8:15 a.m. to 12:00 noon Friday

Medical office biller must have experience with OB GYN billing and Epic. Candidate will deal with day to day insurance billing for office to include posting payments, A/R management etc. This position will be on-site in our downtown Columbia office.
Job Responsibilities
- Reviewing and preparing claims for electronic and hard copy billing submission
- Identifying and correcting billing errors and resubmitting claims to insurance carriers
- Providing review and remittance advice for payment errors, denials and under payments
- Maintaining required billing records, reports, files, etc.
- Post payments accurately to claims and make necessary adjustments to claims based on EOB’s
- Work on aged receivables
- Call insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments if necessary
- Update client systems with detailed and accurate notes
- Follow-up for claim status and resubmit denied claims
- Verify and post charge information in database
- Review insurance EOB’s and initiate appeals as necessary
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Medical billing or coding certifications preferred.
Minimum of two year’s experience with direct Medical (Physician) Office Billing.
Computer skills with experience in Practice Management systems and EHR systems, EPIC preferred.
Strong communication and organization skills.

OB/GYN Sonographer
An OB/GYN Sonographer specializes in performing sonograms on female patients including expectant mothers utilizing an ultrasound machine to see inside the female reproductive system and interpret images using sound waves.
Prepare ultrasound equipment and exam room ensuring proper sterilization and safety procedures are followed
Review the patient’s medical chart prior to their appointment and have a clear understanding of the images required.
Positions patients to obtain images and to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging
Use ethical judgment and critical thinking skills to perform diagnostic imaging safely.
Completes transabdominal or transvaginal ultrasounds and obtains images of the fetus during its development and monitors the baby’s heartbeat, movement, weight and measurements.
Completes scans on gyn patients to assist physician with diagnosis and treatment of conditions in the pelvis.
Review images before sending to the physician to ensure a clear image of the area requested.
Discuss images with physicians to answer questions or attain detail relating to ordered sonographic images
Attend continuing education courses and work to advance personal knowledge and experience within the field.
Requirements:
- Must be a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS, OB/GYN)
- Proficiency with computer software commonly used for documentation and sonographic report presentation (EPIC)
- Experience working in a medical office alongside specialized physicians
- Demonstrated knowledge and adherence to HIPAA and other patient privacy laws
- Experience working with sensitive and personal patient records and information
- Physical endurance and the ability to work primarily in a standing position
- Proficient in troubleshooting common software and hardware challenges
- Accountability and attention to detail is essential when handling and documenting important medical information
- A friendly and professional demeanor is required when explaining procedures and processes to patients
